After entirely dominating the first test in Perth, India became the first team to defeat Australia at the Optus Stadium. The Men in Blue won the match by 295 runs over the Kangaroos. However, in the second test in Adelaide, the host side fought back in the pink-ball day and night encounter. On last Sunday, they won with ten wickets in hand. Australia reclaimed the first spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 points table by defeating India in the pink-ball Test. Rohit Sharma suggested that he lacked the courage to upset Australia at home.

Ahead of the third test at Brisbane, captain Rohit Sharma was furious because opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal was late for their departure from Adelaide. While the squad was about to depart for Brisbane ahead of the third Test match. Yashasvi Jaiswal failed to appear at the team hotel lobby on time, and the bus left without him. The team, including captain Rohit Sharma and coach Gautam Gambhir, waited for him in the team bus.

Moment of Immaturity by Yashasvi Jaiswal

But decided to depart after a while. The young Indian batter arrived in the lobby approximately 20 minutes late and had to take a separate hotel car to the airport. The disciplinary issue with the young batter is a question, he needs to understand that it is required to be in the team and concentrate on the upcoming game.

KL Rahul may return to the middle order for the remaining matches of the series, with Jaiswal taking over as opener alongside Rohit. However, it will be interesting to see what management believes. It remains to be seen whether captain Rohit Sharma mentions the change in batting order during the pre-match news conference, or if it will be revealed only after India plays.
