Yashasvi Jaiswal Is India’s New Six-Hitting King

India’s young left-handed batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal has broken the records of many legends by reaching the 700-run mark in the series against England. Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most sixes in a series has also been broken by Yashasvi Jaiswal who has become the new ‘Sixer King’.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored an aggressive 57 runs in the fifth Test against England. He hit three sixes in this innings. So Yashasvi Jaiswal has hit 26 sixes in the series so far. The previous record was held by Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin had hit 25 sixes in a series against Australia.

Yashasvi Jaiswal now holds the record for most runs in a Test series against England. Virat Kohli scored 655 runs against England in 2016. Jaiswal has scored 712 runs in the current Test series. Vinod Kambli holds the record for the fastest 1000 runs for India. He has done this in just 14 innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal is second on this list. He has completed 1000 Test runs in 16 innings.

Don Bradman holds the record for scoring 1000 runs in the shortest number of matches. He did this in 7 Test matches. Yashasvi Jaiswal has completed 1000 Test runs in just 9 Test matches.

It took Michael Hussey at least 166 days to complete 1000 runs after his Test debut. Yashasvi Jaiswal ranks fifth in this list. Jaiswal has completed 1000 runs 239 days after his Test debut.
