Defending champions Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals by four wickets in the opening match of the Women’s Premier League. Debutant Sajana hit a six off the last ball to give the team a thrilling victory.
Delhi Capitals scored a challenging score of 171 for five in 20 overs. Alice Capsey changed the picture of the match with a whirlwind knock of 75 runs. Chasing 172 to win, Mumbai Indians registered a victory in the last over. The architect of this victory was S. Sajana who played the first match.
