England won the first Test in the five-match series. However, England also lost the series after losing the next three Tests. Former Australia captain Tim Paine said that ‘England’s team was completely defeated by the Indian B team. England’s defeat is happiness. Tim Paine made the statement while discussing the series on the ‘Around the Wicket’ podcast. In it, Haddin called the Indian team B-grade and praised the team for their victory against England. There were no big names in the Indian team. Despite the first loss, this team has surprised everyone by winning the series. Tim Paine also agreed with Haddin’s opinion.
Tim Paine said, “I completely agree with Haddin’s opinion and I know very well how it feels to lose to the India B team.” This has happened to us while playing at home. But some big names of the Indian team were not playing in this team. England must have benefited from this.’
