Virat Kohli will have to end up behind bars. There has been an FIR launched against him and his One-8 pub in Bengaluru. The Bengaluru Police have filed a formal complaint against the One8 Commune pub, owned by the 35-year-old cricketer. Along with several other pubs on MG Road for operating past the designated hours. According to DCP Central, the pubs were open till 1.30 A.M. IST.
The permissible closing time is 1 A.M. IST. The police took action after receiving complaints about loud music being played in the vicinity late at night. One8 Commune is one of the pubs booked for breaking the law. It is located near the Chinnaswamy cricket stadium. Kohli might need to turn up and look after the matter and make sure that any such instances do not happen.
This is not the first time that any complaint has been registered towards the star cricketer’s property. Previously a controversy occurred after a guy from Tamil Nadu described in a video on X how he was denied admittance into the Mumbai branch of One8 Commune for wearing a “veshti”. The individual stated that the treatment left him “disappointed” and “hurt”.

The Virat Kohli-owned restaurant business made headlines last year when the Delhi High Court barred One8 Commune from playing music on which Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL) holds the copyrights. One8 Commune, is a Virat Kohli project, with locations in Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and other major cities. The Bengaluru shop opened in December of last year.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) player has retired from T20I cricket after winning the T20 World Cup 2024. The former India captain announced his departure from the shortest format of the game in the post-match presentation ceremony. He has been a legend in the game. Despite retiring from the shortest format of the game he will still be continuing in the Test and ODI format for the Men in Blue. Currently, he has been out of action and will be back soon as he spends time with his family.
