Vidarbha Cricket Association conducted a two-day workshop for curators and groundsmen. A workshop was organized for curators and groundsmen at Bilimoria Hall, Civil Lines, Nagpur city. 59 curators and groundsmen from Nagpur district participated.
The sole objective of the workshop was to standardize the methodology for the preparation, maintenance, and renovation of cricket match centers and practice pitches. Scientific information behind watering, rolling, pitch drying, soil fertility, use of machinery, etc. was imparted to curators and groundsmen.
A similar workshop was conducted by the Vidarbha Cricket Association last year. Vidarbha Cricket Association Chief Curator Praveen Hinganikar, Senior Curator Dilip Chaudhary, Abhijit Priprode, Pawan Yadav, Jasveer Saini guided the participants in the workshop.
The workshop was inaugurated by retired Justice Vinay M Deshpande, president of the Vidarbha Cricket Association. Secretary Sanjay Badkas, Joint Secretary Chandrakant Manke, District Committee President Sharad Padhye, etc were present on this occasion.
