Vedanta Pansare Wins Record-Breaking Narendra Firodia Chess Tournament

Narendra Firodia All India (Below 1600) Classical International Ranking Chess Tournament has been recorded in the Guinness Book. Vedanta Pansare of Ahmednagar won the title in this competition. 555 players participated in this tournament. In it, senior players from five and a half years to 91 years of age put their intellectual strength to the test.

On behalf of the Ahmednagar District Chess Association, the prize distribution ceremony of Narendra Firodia All India Open Classical International Ranking Chess Tournament was concluded at the Badi Sajan Mangal office. Ahmednagar District Chess Association President Narendra Firodia said in the prize distribution program that ‘Ahmednagar District Chess Association and Shantikumar Ji Firodia Memorial Foundation are committed to the promotion and spread of chess.’

In the history of chess, 555 players have come from India. This is happening for the first time in the city. This competition has received such a large response that this competition has also been registered in the Guinness Book. Coincidentally, this tournament was organized on International Chess Day and Guru Poornima.

Chess Association Secretary Yashwant Bapat welcomed the chief guests. Bapat said that players from 22 states have come in this tournament. Billo 1600 ranking competition was held for chess players who have been clapping for others to date. 555 players participated in this tournament and witnessed many shocking results. In this tournament, the citizens got to see the excellent performance of many veteran players.

Ahmednagar District Chess Association President Narendra Firodia, Entrepreneurs Anand Chengedia, Vinay Bogawat, Vipra Salwa, Ashish Jangla, Vijay Bhandari, Vikram Firodia, Ashish Sarada, Ahmednagar District Chess Association Treasurer Subodh Thombre, Shyam Kamble, Manish were present at the prize distribution ceremony of the tournament. Jaswani, Devendra Vaidya, Prakash Gujarathi, Chetan Kad, Anuradha Bapat, Dr Smita Wagh, Shubda Thombre, Rohini Adkar, Chief Umpire Praveen Thackeray, Pawan Rathi, Anupam Bhattacharya, Shardul Taapse, Yashwant Pawar, Amrish Joshi, Rohit Adkar, Devendra Dhokle etc. were present in a large number of parents players and coaches.
