The Punjabi Popstar sold one lakh tickets in India for his pre-sale and went sold out just sixty seconds after they were made available for normal bookings, which is quite unsurprising. The tickets were priced as high as 1699, and yet all were sold out in the blink of an eye. An insane craze like this has never been seen before by any Indian artist and might remind people of the craze for the World Cup.

I truly acknowledge that Diljit is among the most prominent Indian pop stars in today’s generation, but setting such high ticket prices in your own country feels unfair. It creates the impression that you’ve lost touch with your roots and the fans who have supported and loved you from the beginning of your career.
