Even Grand Slam champions like Naomi Osaka admire other celebrities, reminding us of our shared humanity. The tennis star has been announced as a cohost for the 2021 Met Gala, alongside singer Billie Eilish, actor Timothée Chalamet, and poet-activist Amanda Gorman. The event will be more intimate and exclusive than in past seasons. Given the reduced guest list, Osaka and Rihanna may have a better chance of ultimately meeting.
Naomi Osaka recently uploaded a photo of her shimmer foundation that had dried, broken, and scattered. The foundation, controlled by pop sensation Rihanna, left Osaka in a strange situation. Osaka won the 2024 China Open, defeating Lucia Bronzetti, Yulia Putintseva, and Katie Volynets in the first three rounds. Unfortunately, she had to withdraw from her fourth-round match against eventual champion Coco Gauff due to a lower back injury.
The four-time Major champion withdrew from major tournaments, including the Pan Pacific Open and the famous Billie Jean King Cup, due to a lower back and stomach problem, terminating her 2024 season. The Japanese star has recently disclosed personal details with her fans on social media. She recently presented new fashion designs from her association with Nike, a long-time supporter. She revealed a cracked foundation from Rihanna’s beauty brand ‘Fenty’ on her Instagram story.

During the off-season, Naomi Osaka has been sharing her training experiences on Instagram and addressing fan questions in a Q&A session. In answer to a fan’s question, Osaka posted an image of her hand coated with tennis ball fuzz, indicating that her training is going well. In reply to another question, Osaka apologised for not updating her followers and pledged to write more frequently. She stated the reason for her lack of updates.
Osaka said, “Good I think I’m turning into a tennis ball haha. Sorry, I’ll try my best I always think it’s disrespectful to be on the phone during practice so I rarely get photos/videos. I’ll try to ask someone to film something next time.”
