Swami Vivekananda Prashala and the Junior College team from twin Solapur bagged the double crown. They won the title in the under-19 boys and girls category in the inter-school city Kho kho competition. The under-14 boys and under-19 boys and girls competitions of the tournament. It began on Tuesday at the Jai Jawan Jai Kisan Sainik School ground in Nehrunagar and the Government ground.
In the U-19 girls’ final, Swami Vivekananda secured a resounding victory over Sangameshwar Junior College by an innings of 10-2. In the boys’ final, Swami Vivekananda’s team defeated Jai Jawan Jai Kisan Sainik School 15-2 in 1 innings. Third place was secured by Ahilyabai Prashala in the boys category and Shivaji Junior College in the girls category.
Ravindra Chavan organised the Kho Kho Competition successfully
The competition was inaugurated by Ravindra Chavan, Principal of Jai Jawan Jai Kisan Sainik School, Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Award winner Shrikant Dhepe, Municipal Sports Officer Shrikant Gholap and Taluka Sports Officer Satyen Jadhav. Solapur KhoKho Association Secretary AB Sangwe, Joint Secretary Rajaram Shitole, Mohan Rajput, Vice President Sunil Chavan.
