His ton came in just 51 balls to help MI chase the 174-run target in just seventeen overs. With his ton against SRH, Suryakumar Yadav became the first batsman to score two centuries for Mumbai Indians. He becomes only the second player since Rohit Sharma to achieve this feat.
His unbeaten century helped him get added to the history books. Surya’s 102 of 51 balls became the 12th century of the IPL season. Surya and Tilak were just one run away from breaking the record. This record of 144 runs partnership is held by Gurkeerat Singh and Shimran Hetmyer.
