Indian players will play domestic matches before the Test series against Bangladesh. The Mumbai team will be led by Sarfaraz Khan and Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer will play in the Buchi Babu Cricket Tournament. The Indian team will not play any international cricket match for the next month. This is the very reason, the senior players of the team will be back playing domestic cricket matches.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be seen playing in the Duleep Trophy. Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav will also feature in the Buchi Babu Cricket Tournament. The Mumbai team will be led by Sarfraz Khan. Sarfaraz Khan has been selected as the captain in place of Ajinkya Rahane. As Rahane is playing county cricket in England and due to his unavailability Sarfaraz will be leading the side.
Shreyas who recently featured in the ODI series against Sri Lanka will also be available for one match in the upcoming tournament to be held at four venues in Tamil Nadu. Iyer will be available for Mumbai’s second-round match to be played in Coimbatore from August 27 to 30. Mumbai Cricket Association joint secretary Deepak Patil said in a release that Shreyas Iyer will play for Mumbai in the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament organized by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. He will play against Jammu and Kashmir in Coimbatore from August 27.
Shreyas Iyer can regain the central contract
