Pune witnessed an impressive display of badminton prowess as Sujal Lakhari, Ninad Kulkarni, and Rishabh Deshpande advanced to the fourth round of men’s singles at the PYC HTBA Amanora Cup District Ranking Badminton Tournament.
Taking place on the badminton courts of PYC Hindu Gymkhana, the third round of the men’s singles showcased Sujal Lakhari’s dominance, defeating Manas Ratnaparkhi 21-7, 21-8. Similarly, Ninad Kulkarni secured his place in the next round by overcoming Pranav Wagh with a scoreline of 21-16, 21-12. Rishabh Deshpande faced little resistance, triumphing over Parth Deshpande 21-9, 21-7.
In the under-17 boys’ singles, Kavin Patel faced a tough challenge from Chinmoy Phanse but emerged victorious with a score of 21-12, 15-21, 21-11. Devansh Sakpal continued the winning streak with a decisive victory of 21-7, 21-10 against Neil Goel, while Raghuvendra Yadav outplayed Nandan Mutha 22-20, 21-13.
Abhigyan Sinha showcased skill and determination in the U-15 boys’ singles third round, defeating Riyansh Chaudhary with a commanding score of 21-14, 21-9.
