The Buldhana district soft tennis team has been announced for the state-level soft tennis tournament to be held at Sangli. Bhakti Salunke and Abhishek Mankar have been selected as captains for the women’s and men’s teams respectively.
The 12th Senior State Level Soft Tennis Championship in association with Malkapur Soft Tennis Association of Maharashtra and Sangli District Soft Tennis Association has been organized from 9th to 12th May at Amrai Officers Club near Amrai Garden in Sangli. From this tournament, the Maharashtra team will be selected for the National Championship to be held in Mohali (Punjab) from 29th May to 2nd June.
The Buldhana district team will participate in the state-level tournament at Sangli and Buldhana District Soft Tennis Association president Santosh Borgaonkar and working president Rajesh Mahajan have announced the district team. Abhishek Mankar has been appointed as the captain of the district team and national player Bhakti Salunkhe has been appointed as the captain of the women’s team.
The training camp of both the teams has started at the Malkapur Taluka Sports Complex, said the Secretary of Sports Association Buldhana, Vijay Palaskar and Rajeshwar Khagar.
