A written statement was given to District Sports Officer Diliprao Dighe on behalf of sports teachers of Shrigonda taluka that the proposed change in athlete reservation imposed by the government should be cancelled and the recruitment of physical education teachers should be expedited otherwise they will not cooperate in school competitions.
A joint meeting of sports teachers was organized in Chhatrapati Shivaji College. Coaches across the district have taken this step as the government has taken up the policy of doing injustice to the athletes and sports teachers who have raised the name of Maharashtra in the field of sports.
Raising a voice against injustice, the statement said that the government’s decision to change the set approval criteria should be implemented before teacher recruitment stage two, and physical teacher recruitment should be prioritized in teacher recruitment. Since the recruitment of physical teachers was very negligible in the previous recruitment, the recruitment should be implemented by applying the new criteria for recruitment, otherwise, lakhs of BPAd and MPAD graduates will be out of the system.’
The government should cancel the proposed government decision draft plan regarding the change of player reservation and maintain the reservation in jobs from the state as before. Otherwise, players may commit suicide like farmers. The statement said that this is not good for Maharashtra, which is at the top in the field of sports.
Physical teachers should be recruited in the second phase of teacher recruitment and the proposed changes should be cancelled by maintaining the state qualification of 17 years and 19 years in the 5 per cent reservation. Otherwise, it has been warned that the government will not cooperate in the organization and planning of school sports competitions from August 15.
Maharashtra State Sports Teachers Federation President Rajendra Kotkar, Sports Committee President Sachin Jamdar, Dilip Kate, Ramdas Zende, Bapusaheb Gaikwad, Sandeep Ghavte, Ramdas Phatakde, Ramzan Syed, Rajendra Jamdar, Nandkumar Shitole, Sanjay Daphal, Mahesh Giramkar, Rohan Randhave, Ajay Gadekar, Sanjay Gaikwad and sports teachers were present in large numbers.
A new recruitment process for sports teachers should be implemented
Also, the recruitment process for new sports teachers should be implemented. Also, the players have achieved the state qualification by working hard and spending precious time studying. However, if the government wants to create a new system by rejecting this practice, it will be a great injustice to lakhs of players in the state. This change will cause depression.
