Solapur Team Signals Bright Future For Fencing

In the 26th state-level sub-junior fencing competition held at Buldhana, the Solapur team bagged 23 medals and bagged the runner-up position. It includes one gold, five silver, and eighteen bronze medals. In this competition, Viraj Kadam won silver in the individual category. Viraj Kadam, Harshvardhan Navale, Aryan Sonwane, and Atul won a bronze medal in the team category. 

Tanishka Sakhre, Samriddhi Tipane, Gauri Patil, and Divya Zaveri won a bronze medal in the team competition. Rudra Sarde won bronze in the individual event and Rudra Sarde, Aditya Mali, Rajat Wankar, and Arnav Supate won bronze in the team event. Atharva Barse won gold and Gnanada Shirwal won bronze in individual competition in the saber event. Atharva Barse, Mayur Bhosle, Sarish Shatgar, and Viraj Lonari bagged silver medals in the team category. 

Gyanada Shirwal, Pranjali Kore, Swanandi Tate, and Khushi Lodha bagged bronze medals in the girls’ team category. All these players have benefited from the guidance of Pawan Bhosle and Akshay Mane. Solapur District Fencing Association President Prakash Katule, Secretary Deepak Shinde, association members Jitendra Pawar, Anil Patil, and Rajendra Gote congratulated all these winners.
