The Indian Jump Rope Team has embarked on their journey to Japan to compete in the Asian Jump Rope Championship. Coach Tanmay Karnik is optimistic about the team’s chances and believes that the Indian athletes are well-prepared to secure medals in the tournament.
The championship is scheduled to take place in Kawasaki, Japan, from July 24th to 28th. Representing India, a robust team of 40 players will showcase their skills on this international stage. This diverse group includes athletes from Nashik and Thane in Maharashtra. Notable members of the team are Rajul Lunkad, Naman Gangwal, Ronak Salve, Ishan Putharan, Manas Mungi, and Sukrit Bendale. The female contingent features Bhumika Nemade, Tanvi Nemade, Parul Zankar, Bhargavi Patil, Shriya Vani, Ankita Mahajan, and Padmakshi Mokashi. Leading the team are Ashok Dudhare, Aman Verma, Tanmay Karnik, and Nimish Shete.
These talented athletes are set to represent India with pride and determination. The championship will see fierce competition, with 784 athletes from 11 countries participating in the event. The Indian team, with its blend of seasoned players and emerging talents, is gearing up to make a significant impact.

Zorawar Singh, a notable Indian jump rope athlete, has set multiple Guinness World Records and secured high placements in various competitions, including the World Jump Rope Championship in 2016 where he finished 4th.
