The Sinhgad Public School team of Kegaon won the Subroto Mukherjee Trophy School District Football Tournament in the Under 15 Boys category. Maharashtra Vidyalaya Barshi won the under-17 boys category and Vikas Vidyalaya Ajnale (T. Sangola) won the girls category in this competition held at Walchand Engineering College ground.
Directorate of Sports and Youth Services, Maharashtra State, Pune, District Sports Officer Office, District Sports Council Solapur and Solapur city. The District Football Association was present. Mahesh Gadekar, President of the Football Association, and Dr. Hirachand Nemchand College Principal along with Satyajit Shah inaugurated the tournament.
On this occasion District Sports Officer Narendra Pawar, Walchand College Principal Dr. Santosh Koti, Prof. Sambhaji Chavan, Prof. Rahul Hazare, Chief Panch Kiran Dustkar, and others were present. Sinhagad Public School Kegaon defeated Green Fingers School Akluj 4-3 in the penalty shootout. The U-15 final ended in a draw in the main time. Veeransh Verma, Moral Minister, and Siddharth Jadhav of Pushkaraj Kshirsagar scored one goal each from Sinhagad.
Maharashtra Vidyalaya Barshi wins U-17 category
Maharashtra Vidyalaya Barshi team defeated Sinhgad Public School Kegaon team 4-3 in a penalty shootout after the U-17 boys final ended in a draw. Prathamesh Awari, Atharva Kulkarni, Pranav Aamde, and Atharva Gaikwad scored one goal each from Barshi.
Vikas Vidyalaya Ajnale defeated MIT Kegaon 7-0 in the U-17 girl’s final. Dhanashree Patil of Ajnale School scored three goals. Pratiksha Jawle, Ketaki Kondaskar, Anushka Lokhande, and Mugandhara Patil scored one goal each.
