Shree Mavli Mandal Kabaddi Tournament Enters Its Third Round

Shri Mavli Mandal organised the 71st state-level kabaddi tournament on the occasion of the 99th Shiv Jayanti celebrations. Karnala Krida (Raigarh), Prakash Tatya Balwadkar Sports Foundation (Pune) won in the women’s category while  Parle Sports Club (Mumbai Suburb), Shiv Shankar Krida Mandal (Mumbai Suburb) in the men’s category Thane), Jai Bhawani Tarun Mandal Karnjwade (Mumbai Suburb) entered the third round of the competition.

In the second round match of the women’s group, Karnala Sports Team of Raigad comfortably defeated Amar Hind Mandal of Mumbai City to enter the third round. Teja Sakpal and Rashmi Patil of the Karnala sports team shined. Shraddha Kadam’s effort was not enough to keep the team from Mumbai City in the game.

In the other women’s second-round fixture, the Prakash Tatya Balwadkar Sports Foundation team from Pune defeated the Swarajya Sports Academy team from Chiplun. Harsha Shetty and Ankita Pisal of the Balwadkar Sports Foundation team made great deep dives.

Men’s Tournament proves to be a huge success

In the second round match of the men’s group, the Parle Sports Club team from Mumbai suburbs easily defeated the T.I.P.L Club Panvel team from Raigad to enter the third round. Akash Gaikwad and Abhishek Giri were the architects of Parle Sports Club’s victory.

The other second-round match was between the Thane Shiv Shankar Krida Mandal and the Hotkaru Mitra Mandal of Thane, where the former secured a win by 5 points in a very thrilling match and entered the third round.

Narendra Chalke of Shiv Shankar Krida Mandal scored four points in his third outing to lead his team to victory. Kshitij Thombre of Hotkaru Mitra Mandal tried his best to prevent his team from losing.

In another match in the men’s group, the Jai Bhawani Tarun Mandal Karnjwade team from suburban Mumbai defeated the Jai Hanuman Sports Club Kalher team from Thane by 3 points to enter the third round.
