Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Judoka, Shraddha Chopde won the gold medal in the International Commonwealth Judo Championship held in Malta (Italy).
Gold medal winner Shraddha Chopde is currently training at the Sports Authority of India in Bhopal under the guidance of Arjuna awardee coach Yashpal Solanki. Shraddha Kadubal Chopde, daughter of Tisgaon, a player of Smt. Parameswari Dewani Judo Center, Bajajnagar Exercise and Sports Broadcasting Board of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar District Judo Association has created a new history by winning gold medals in both senior and junior age groups.
From a young age, Shraddha displayed an exceptional aptitude for athletics. Her innate talent caught the eye of local coaches, who recognized her potential and took her under their wing. Under their guidance, she embarked on a rigorous training regimen, honing her skills and pushing her limits day in and day out. But it wasn’t just physical attributes that Shraddha was groomed in, she was also taught the importance of mental fortitude and resilience. Through setbacks and challenges, her coaches instilled in her the belief that failure is merely a stepping stone towards success.
Shraddha’s grooming extended beyond the track. She was mentored in the art of discipline, time management, and sportsmanship, traits that are as crucial off the field as they are on it. These values not only shaped her into a formidable athlete but also a role model for aspiring youngsters in her community.
Shraddha Chopde is being mentored by Arjuna award-winning coaches Yashpal Solanki, Madhushree Desai, Bhimraj Rahane, Ashok Jangme, Shailesh Kawle, and Kadubal Chopde.
