In the recently concluded inter-college handball tournament organized by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, the women’s team of Shiv Chhatrapati College exhibited stellar performance, securing the runner-up position.
The competition, held at CIDCO N7 and hosted by Chhatrapati Sambhaji Computer Science College, saw remarkable efforts from players Pranitha More, Srishti Chavan, Payal Bhagwat, Neelam Ragde, Neha Gupta, Prachi Sansare, and Tejashree Solunke.
Despite a fiercely contested tournament, the collective prowess of the Shiv Chhatrapati College team under the guidance of Ranjit Pawar, Archana Kolhe, and Kishori Hiwarde from the Sports Department earned them the esteemed runner-up title.
Principal Dr. R. P. Pawar, Vice Principal Prof. Bharat Wahatoole, and Registrar Nikam extended their congratulations to the dedicated team players for their commendable performance in representing the college at the university-level competition.
Some argue that the focus on winning titles might overshadow the personal growth and development of individual players.
