The Everest Base Camp Expedition was organized with Shikhar Kanya Adventure Club and Vertical Dream Adventure Association’s support. Everest Base Camp is a globally popular trek, attracting thousands of climbers from across the world every year. Facing bone-chilling cold, steep slopes, and thin air, climbers trekked 15-20 kilometers daily to reach their goal.
At 17,598 feet, the climbers celebrated reaching the base of the highest peak on Earth, mission accomplished. Climbers representing various religions aimed to spread Indian culture and unity through ‘Ekatmata Ki Khoj Mein Himalaya Ki God Mein.’ This remarkable activity was recently recorded in the prestigious ‘India Book of Records for its cultural significance and achievement.
The Everest Base Camp Team congratulated
On September 28, 2024, Marathwada Legal and General Education Society President Dr. Kalpalata Bharaswadkar announced the national record achievement. Dr. Indirabai Bhaskarrao Pathak Mahila Kala College’s Principal Dr. Suneeta Bajpai and other dignitaries were awarded the team certificates and gold medals. Members of the Base Camp campaign were honoured with the ‘India Book of Records’ certificate and gold medals.
Dr. Rama Dudhmande from the Shikhar Kanya Adventure Club was present at the ceremony, congratulating the Everest Base Camp team. The teaching and non-teaching staff of the college enthusiastically congratulated the EBC team for their outstanding accomplishment.
