Punjab Kings spin bowling coach Sunil Joshi said that skipper Shikhar Dhawan is currently undergoing a ‘rehabilitation’ process after a shoulder injury.
Sam Curran led the Punjab Kings in the absence of Shikhar Dhawan in the match against Rajasthan Royals. Dhawan will not be able to play in the match against Mumbai Indians. He is also doubtful for the April 21 match against Gujarat Titans.
Sunil Joshi said in a press conference held on the eve of the match that the medical team will give an update on Shikhar. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
Dhawan’s performance with the bat has not been good in the IPL. But despite this, he is the highest run-scorer for Punjab Kings with 152 runs in five innings at a strike rate of 125.61.
