Saudi Arabia’s 2034 stadiums redefine digital dreamscapes

The FIFA World Cup has been the greatest footballing event in the world. Football’s most prestigious trophy takes a lot of pain and struggle to achieve the golden trophy. Some footballers have achieved the feat more than once and some have not even witnessed touching the trophy. Over the years some of the greatest footballers had the chance to win the trophy for their nation. 

The upcoming 2026 World Cup will be mega as there will be 48 teams competing in the competition. The event is scheduled to take place in Mexico, Canada, and the USA. Previously USA and Mexico have hosted the World Cup. This is the first time that any three countries will be hosting a major tournament. The grandest footballing event will once again witness some of the greatest take the field for their nations and try to win the World Cup. 

However, the 2034 edition might be a special one for the fans and the players as well. This edition will be hosted in Saudi Arabia. They will be the second Middle East country to host the FIFA World Cup after Qatar. They have ambitious plans for the 2034 World Cup. It involves building 11 new stadiums, including a 46,000-seat venue inside the country’s planned horizontal skyscraper.

Saudi Arabia’s futuristic stadium brings gaming into real life

The pictures that have gone viral on social media look something out of the box. They look like a video game stadium. It proposes 15 advanced stadiums in five host cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Abha, and NEOM. Eleven of these stadiums have wholly new, planned designs. Such as the Populous Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Stadium in Qiddiya.

For the remaining four, the Kingdom intends to repair and extend existing sites to accommodate new programs and public capacity. Continue reading to see a complete list of stadium designs. The NEOM stadium has been in talks, as the SAFF deems it “the most unique stadium in the world” featuring vistas and a “roof created from the city itself.” Rest all the stadiums looks are just amazing and eyecatching for the football lovers.
