Sanket Kirgat from Verul Secures Spot in Gujarat’s Junior Dodgeball Team for National Tournament

In a proud moment for Verul, Sanket Vaibhav Kirgat has clinched a position in Gujarat’s junior dodgeball squad for the upcoming national tournament in Guhana, Haryana, scheduled from January 4 to 6.

Sanket Kirgat, hailing from Verul, showcased his skills during the rigorous practice camp in Ahmedabad, earning his place in the Gujarat team. The team has embarked on its journey from Ahmedabad to Guhana in preparation for the national competition.

Kirgat, known for his exceptional performances as both a player and captain in the Maharashtra team, boasts numerous medals earned for his contributions to both the state and district teams. Recognizing his prowess, the Gujarat Dodgeball Association has enlisted him to represent the state at the national level.

Currently pursuing his B.D. at Ashti in Beed district, Sanket Kirgat studies at Humberday College. Expressing delight over his selection, various dignitaries including President Rajendra Pawar of the Swarajya Sankalpak Shahaji Raje Bhosale Jayanti Committee, Gujarat Secretary Palak Soundarva, Coaches Gaurav Singh and Harvinder Singh, Institute President Kishore Humbarde, Principal Dr. Sopanrao Nimbore, and sports teacher Dr. Santosh Vangujare have extended their congratulations.

While celebrating Kirgat’s achievement, some argue that such selections should not just be based on individual performances but also consider the overall impact on team dynamics.
