Sainiki Vidyalaya’s team won the Under 17 boys category title in the Beed District Level School Khokho Tournament held at Georai under the Beed District Sports Office. Beed beat hosts Gevrai in a thrilling final to clinch the title for the 10th year in a row. Sainiki Vidyalaya Sangha has been selected for the Divisional School Kho Kho Tournament to be held at Vasmat, District Hingoli. Army boys teams in the 19-year-old boys category have won second place in the district competition.
This year’s District Level School Khokho Competition was held recently at ITI Grounds, Gevrai like every year under the District Sports Officer Office Beed. The final match of the 17-year group was played between Sainiki Vidyalaya Beed vs New High School Gevrai. The Sainiki team won this final match by 25-18 points in the stipulated time. Baliram Shelke, Suraj Pawar, Prathamesh Sonawane, and Abhishek Shinde recorded brilliant all-round performances in the final match.
Sainiki Vidyalaya Beed team has been the winner for 10 consecutive years in district-level school competitions. This Sainiki Vidyalaya team has been selected for the Divisional School Khokho Competition to be held at Hingoli, Basmat District. Sainiki Vidyalaya boys’ team has secured the second position in the under-19 boys category as well. These athletes are getting the guidance of Dr. Avinash Bargaje, Dr. Tanaji Agle, Military Director Meghraj Kolhe, and Vijaykumar Dharankar after Sports Guide Santosh Wable.
