India made history at the Senior Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championship with Rupa Bayor securing the nation’s first-ever medal in the event.

Rupa Bayor has become the first Indian athlete to win a medal in poomsae. Guided by India Taekwondo President Namdev Shirgaonkar and coached by Abhishek Dubey, Bayor achieved this historic feat in Vietnam. The young athlete from Arunachal Pradesh won a bronze medal in the highly competitive poomsae category.

The Indian team set a new benchmark at the Taekwondo tournament in Vietnam, with Rupa Bayor earning a historic bronze medal. The Indian Taekwondo team participated in both the Senior Asian Poomsae and Kurogi Taekwondo Championships, with the Asian Poomsae being the 8th edition and the Kurogi the 26th.
