The Men in Blue captain announced his retirement from international T20 cricket after India won the T20 World Cup. After being selected as an international men’s cricketer, Rohit said, “My dream was to change the Indian team and not worry too much about statistics, or results. So that we create an environment where people go out and do more. One can play freely in the event without thinking.”

“It was needed. I got a lot of help from my three pillars Jay Shah, Rahul Dravid, and the Chairman of the Selection Committee Ajit Agarkar. What I did was very important to me and of course, the players who came at different times and what we achieved for the team should not be forgotten.”

Rohit said, “Winning the World Cup is something that cannot be expressed in words. It was a feeling that didn’t come every day. When we won the World Cup, it was important for all of us to enjoy the moment, which we did very well, and thank our country for celebrating with us. It was as important to us as it was to the whole country. It was great to bring it back home and celebrate with everyone here.”
