Real Madrid’s overrated attacking line is no way near best

Real Madrid have struggled to find their form in the ongoing season. However, it is too early to predict by just witnessing two games. But the fans are really upset with the team’s performance so far in the La Liga 2024/25 season. The defending champions dropped points in their opening fixture against Mallorca. They finished the game in a 1-1 draw.

However, the side came back in their second match. Thumping Real Valladolid a 3-0 defeat at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. Federico Valverde opened the scoring for the Los Blancos and two substitutes Brahim Diaz and Endrick increased the lead in the last minutes of the game. Madrid’s attacking line this season has been lethal with Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo, and Jude Bellingham. However, despite the looking strong on paper the attackers have failed to make their mark in the Spanish league.

Vini and Mbappe are yet to find the back of the next. Among the four Bellingham has been out injured and Rodrygo is the one who has shined so far with one goal and one assist to his name. Vini Jr. also has one assist but the lethal attacks and runs from the wings and delivering the dangerous crosses are missing from the team.

Carlo Ancelotti cannot manage a star-studded attacking line

Is Real Madrid’s attacking line overrated and overhyped by the fans? Everyone is aware of the danger that the Spanish champions’s frontline produces. There has been an overload on the left wing as the Brazilian and the French superstar are usually wingers and play down the left-hand side. This is where the chaos has been created. The overload on the leftwing is causing the absence of a central striker who can score goals.

This will be a problem for Carlo Ancelotti going forward in the season. If the attacking line does not fit in with the tactics he wants to use. So far it has not worked well for the side. Though they have scored goals in their last game against big European teams it will cause a problem inside the team with most of the attackers being dominant on the left wing.
