The Champions of Europe have been suffering with form this season, especially at the start of it. But they have been making calculative scouting and that has suggested them with a new transfer interest which may hold a key to not just one but 2 of their footballing problems. And that transfer interest is the Liverpool and England Right Back, Trent Alexander Arnold.
The 26-year-old full-back came up through Liverpool’s youth system as a youngster and shot up the ranks in his early career to earn fantastic recognition all across the globe for his prowess on the ball as a right-back. His passing and crossing ability is second to none in terms of defenders and he finds his man more often than not with a precision cross/pass. His incredible ability has clinched the record of having the highest number of assists in the Premier League as a defender at just 26 years of age.
Moreover, Trent has played multiple times for England and Liverpool as a defensive or central midfielder and his fantastic passing ability just enhances his game even more. For any team he plays, he is the main creator on the pitch and acts as a deep-lying playmaker, creating chances for his teammates.
And this is exactly the kind of player that Real Madrid require after the departure of a certain Toni Kroos. All of a sudden there isn’t anyone who could ping long balls to the very dangerous forward line that Madrid possesses. What’s the use of Mbappe, Jude and Vini if they are not getting the services of a world-class creator?
That’s only the first problem that Trent Alexander Arnold provides the solution to. The second is the dearth of Fullbacks at Real Madrid. Currently, Dani Carvajal is out injured and he isn’t getting any younger as time passes. And Lucas Vazquez is frankly not good enough to be a full-time starter at Real Madrid. And so signing Trent, makes the Right Back problem go away for at least 8-10 years for Real Madrid.
