Afghanistan’s star spinner Rashid Khan got married on October 3. Rashid Khan got married in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Rashid, one of the world’s greatest spinners, got married according to Pashtun customs. Many cricketers of the Afghanistan national cricket team also participated in this celebration. Apart from Mohammad Nabi, it also stars Azmatullah Umarzai, Noor Ahmed, and Mujeeb ur Rahman among others. 

Photos and videos from their wedding venue have taken social media by storm. The video of this wedding ceremony is going viral on social media. Many people were seen walking around with guns outside the hotel where Rasheed was getting married. Many Afghan stars congratulated Rashid on social media. Mohammad Nabi, a veteran of the Afghanistan team, was among those who congratulated Rashid for taking the next step in life. 

Rashid Khan starts a new innings outside of cricket

He wrote on X, “Congratulations on getting married to the one and only King Khan in the world, Rashid Khan! Wishing you love, happiness, and success throughout your life.” Rashid Khan has so far played five Tests, 105 ODIs, and 93 T20 Internationals. He has taken 34 wickets in five Tests, 190 wickets in 105 ODIs, and 152 wickets in 93 T20 Internationals.

The Afghanistan T20I captain also led the side to their first knockout stages of the competition in the T20 World Cup 2024. They lost to South Africa in the semi-final of the major tournament. In recent years Afghanistan has been one of the finest associate teams that have troubled the bigger opponents in the biggest stages of world cricket. They will be looking to become a formidable side in forthcoming years in ODI and Test as well.
