It’s the year 2024 and the internet is still wondering who actually wrote the lyrics for Yo Yo Honey Singh’s 2011 breakout single “Brown Rang”, was it Honey Singh or Badshah? Well, we are as clueless as you are but after the streak of podcasts where the 2 rap stars were seen dissing each other, there was one name both Honey Singh and Badshah seemed to respect, it’s none other than Raftaar.
The “Swag Mera Desi” fame Raftaar is considered an OG of the rap scene, particularly praised for his constantly evolving music and going head to head with the new underdogs on their own song even after being in the scene for over a decade. But, Raftaar doesn’t seem to be in the mood for a truce with Yo Yo Honey Singh as he once again disses him on his recent feature on Karma’s track “Karta Kya hai?”.
The song is a complete banger with new age hip hop beats and Raftaar’s heavy voice where he confronts Honey Singh and also subliminally disses him for his Instagram stories about the RG Kar Medical College Rape Case where he demanded justice but according to Raftaar, Honey Singh isn’t the right man to be putting out a statement like this as he was criticized about his vulgar lyrics objectifying women. Keeping aside the other intricacies of the disses, the track proves that Raftaar is still hungry for more as he goes bar for bar with karma and switches flows like a young underdog. Even if you do not agree with Raftaar’s opinion about Honey Singh you should definitely tune in to the song because of the music and pure rap music!
