Prithvi Shaw looks to make comeback as red-hot form continues

Prithvi Shaw has found his form back. After having a horrifying Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. He has been back to his best form in the ongoing One Day Cup cricket tournament being played in England. The explosive opener has won everyone’s hearts by hitting 294 runs with 44 fours and 4 sixes. He has made his mark in the tournament by scoring half-centuries in three consecutive matches.

Shaw, known for his explosive batting, has been left out of the Indian team, but Prithvi continues to wreak havoc with his bat. The Mumbai-born batter is currently playing for Northamptonshire in the ODI Cup in England and has been doing brilliantly for this team. Shaw led his team to a big win by 130 runs and his contribution was 72 runs. Despite performing well in the white ball format he has not received the call from the Indian team.

Prithvi Shaw failed to make his capabilities count

Shaw has a batting average of 58.80. Shaw has been the top scorer for his team, although his team has won only one out of 5 matches so far. He has been out of the Indian team for almost three years. Four years ago, he got an opportunity in Tests. But the way he has been performing consistently, it seems that all eyes will now be on this player.

Prithvi Shaw will especially have expectations from new head coach Gautam Gambhir, who has always been a fan of his game. Gautam Gambhir in an interview last year described him as the best player in the T20 format. Gambhir even said that Prithvi Shaw is better than Gill in the T20 format. After hearing the compliment from the present head coach the 24-year-old batter will like to prove himself in the Men in Blue Jersey.
