It feels good to see someone achieve something they have worked hard for years. In the entertainment industry, it is a rare occasion for people to get what they deserve. Some work day and night and get nothing, while some get fame by just being a star kid. Elle recently released a new magazine edition with Prajakta Koli on the cover page. Yes, this content creator is finally getting the fame that she deserves.
Prajakta Koli has earned this by working every minute of her life and not taking a break. I still remember her being the first content creator to create the buzz of blogging and making humorous videos for content. If it wasn’t for her, we would still be stuck on the long YouTube videos. She has earned the title of being called the most reputed and loved social media influencer and YouTuber. It took her years to get where she is now. One of the things that made her different from other content creators was the fact that she understood her audience. Her content resonated with the audience making it more relatable and witty. She mainly portrayed the everyday life of an Indian family or a typical brown family. And seeing her on the Elle cover page was wholesome.
While shooting for the cover page, Prajakta Koli also spoke about the aspects of her working life and how conscious she is about everything she puts out there which might have an impact on people. She said, “Even if what you say influences one person, it’s worth it. Everything that comes from you has to come from a place of responsibility. I will not speak for everyone else, but I’ve always felt that if my audience is spending that much time and energy consuming my content, I owe it to them that everything I do, speak about or stand for, I do responsibly,” she says. The reason I cared so much about mentioning why Prajakta Koli deserved to be on the cover page was because of the biasedness there is in the entertainment industry. How can you expect it to be fair and square where Suhana Khan and Mira Kapoor get to be on the Vogue cover page just for the sake of being a Star’s daughter and wife? So, Mostly Sane being featured on the cover page of Elle is a great move to get rid of this ever-going norm.
