Podar International School makes hattrick in Nashik Futsal Championship

The Podar International School team registered a hat-trick by winning the title in three groups in the district-level futsal tournament organized in Nashik. Nashik District Futsal Association, Asmita Darshan Mahila Mandal, and Uttamrao Dhikale Sports Foundation jointly organized the District Level Futsal Championship at Divisional Sports Complex. It included three age groups namely boys and girls below 12, 14, and 17 years.

210 athletes from various schools, colleges, and sports training centers of Nashik district participated in this competition. MLA Rahul Dhikle got valuable support for this two-day competition. Sports organizer Ashok Dudhare, Anand Khare, Uttamrao Dhikale Sports Foundation Secretary General Deepak Nikam, Podar International School Sports Department Head Mahindra Sonwane, All India Maratha Federation Regional Executive Member Yogesh Patil, and other dignitaries were present for the opening ceremony of the tournament.

In this competition, the teams of Podar International School left their mark on the competition by winning the titles in three groups namely 12 years boys and 17 years boys and girls. Ryan School won the title in Year 12 Girls. In 14 years of boys, KRCF won the title and in 14 years of girls, Edgel School won the title. Ved Rathi, Rajeev Kumawat, Mansi Raut, Ashwini Patil, Yug Bhup, Prathamesh Tayde, Tanisha Bodke, Anushka Bandwane, Mayank Kumar, Saish Patil, Ishita Thackeray and Isha Bachhav were selected as the best players.

All the winning players were felicitated with trophies, medals, and certificates by the chief guests.
