The stage is set for the Parbhani district’s participation in the upcoming State Mini and Youth Tennis Volleyball Tournament in Dombivli, as the district teams have been officially unveiled. The tournament, organized by the Tennis Volleyball Maharashtra Association and Thane District Tennis Volleyball Association, promises fierce competition among districts.
The Parbhani district team, led by coach Nilesh Malve and team manager Santosh Shinde, comprises talented players ready to showcase their skills on the court. The mini tennis volleyball team includes Shreya Upase, Anura Savaji, Ankita Shinde, Kartiki Gore, Durga Arjune, Gayatri Gaye, Syestem Mule, Sriram Savane, Anand Dhapse, Kunal Vavle, Om Dhapse, Arthaj Gaye, Abhishek Shajle, Ritesh Mukade, Abhishek Nahaigar, and Ambadas Barge.
The youth boys and girls team, coached by Satish Navade, features Sakshi Gosavi, Radhika Chilgar, Rituja Raut, Geeta Mahagade, Vaishali Kikhalle, Vaishali Ghotekar, Shivkanya Kale, Sarthak Malkar, Krishna Kesarkhane, Prasad Mahale, Somnath Popele, Aryan Gayke, Abhishek Salve, and Kunal Tak.
A felicitation program at Newan Vidyalaya celebrated the players, with kits distributed by Parbhani District Secretary Satish Navade. The event saw the presence of notable figures such as Dr. S. M. Loya, Dr. V. K. Kothekar, Jayaprakash Bihani, Dr. Sharad Kulkarni, and others.
While district-level tournaments are crucial for talent development, more emphasis on infrastructure and coaching at the grassroots level is needed to ensure sustained success in sports.
