Pakistan Team Holding India’s Flag At Chess Olympiad Is A Political Stunt

India won the Gold Medal in the 45th Chess Olympiad. The men’s team defeated USA 2.5-1.5 in the tenth round. The women’s team overcame Azerbaijan to bag the country’s second gold medal in the event. They had previously drawn with the United States but have since rebounded with a victory over China. Only Divya Deshmukh won for the Indian women’s team, while Noida’s Vantika Aggarwal, Vaishali, and Harika tied.

Divya Deshmukh beat Shukken. Vantika held Miaoi to a draw. At the first table, Dronavalli Harika was held to a draw by Xu Jiner, while Vantika had to hold Miaoyi to a draw. This has been one of the greatest achievements in the History of Chess in India. Team India’s celebrating videos have surfaced on social media, and one particular video went viral.

In the viral footage, members of Pakistan’s team were seen holding India’s flag and standing alongside members of the Indian team. The gesture by Pakistan’s chess player has gone viral on social media, with reactions from both sides of the border. Over the years the sporting encounters between the two countries often get extreme attention from fans, cricket, hockey, tennis, or other sports. The fans have supported their nation wholeheartedly.

Here’s the video

Pakistan and India showcase love amidst controversies

Is this a sign of political mischief? Except for the sporting events the relation between the two countries has not been the best. The two nations have often been at war and the political affairs have been contrasting as well. Irrespective of that the two nations meet at sporting events and play against each other as well. But India does not travel to Pakistan to play in any kind of tournament.

A video of Pakistan’s hockey players waving the Chinese flag during the Asian Champions Trophy final against India has become popular on social media. In contrast to the chess event, where the emotion was mostly positive, the video sparked a negative reaction on the internet. Do you guys think this is a political stunt or just a show of respect toward the national flag of other countries?
