Olympic opening ceremony plans could be changed due to security concerns

French Presiden Emmanuel Macron stated that the Olympic opening ceremony could be moved to a stadium instead of the proposed Seine River due to security concerns. The Olympic games are set to be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11. France has been put on high alert as people flock to Paris from all over the world during the event. According to the original program, 10,500 athletes will parade on open-air boats along the 6-kilometer route of the Seine River.

This is the first time that the opening ceremony of the Olympics will be held outside the stadium. About three lakh spectators will be able to watch this ceremony from the river bank. Macron said that if we think there is a threat, which depends on the assessment of our security analysts, we also have a plan B and C.’

Macron said the athletes’ parade could be scaled back to reduce the security risk, or we could hold the traditional opening ceremony in the stadium itself. However, he clarified that the program is still in its original form. This is happening for the first time in the world and we will do it.’

Paris Olympics to have colorful tracks for Athletics

Athletes will have a chance to set records on the purple track in the upcoming Paris Olympics. This is the first time that the track at the Olympics will be purple instead of the traditional red. The rubber track has been manufactured in a factory in northern Italy and will be installed at the Stade de France national stadium where track and field events will be held.
The track will be completed in about a month by adding more than a thousand pieces of rubber. It is certainly going to be exciting to see how the tracks look and whether will it be any different running on it as compared to the traditional tracks.
