With Ruben Amorim taking charge of Manchester United, the fortunes of many players have turned for the better. But for some, they have worsened than before. It seems that for some time now, the red side of Manchester has become a place where players and coaches go to get their careers ruined. But even in their darkest times, there was always a flickering light emitting from a through-and-through Manchester Lad, Marcus Rashford. But it seems that his time at his Boyhood Club has come to an end.
Ruben Amorim has adopted a Merit-Based approach at Manchester United and it will surely pay off dividends in the long run. But what that has meant for some players is to cut out of big matches like the one against City at Etihad last weekend. Amorim has been firm about his way of doing business and has also stated that those who work hard in training and get good results will be the ones playing on the pitch for Manchester United. And it seems pretty clear that Marcus Rashford is not in the plans of the Portuguese manager. According to reports on the internet, the 27-year-old is on Man United”s transfer list.
Marcus Rashford Opens Up About His Future
Talking about his future with Henry Winter, Marcus Rashford expressed, “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and for the next steps. When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me on Manchester United. That’s me as a person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me. From the heart I’ll always be a Red, 100% sure.“
Opening up about being left out of the Manchester Derby, Rashford said, “It’s disheartening to be left out of the Derby… but it’s happened, we won the game and so let’s move on. It’s disappointing but I’m also someone as I’ve got older I can deal with setbacks. What am I going to do? Sit there and cry about it… or do my best the next time I’m available”, Marcus added.
