Nagpur Athletes Dive Into Glory With A Whopping 226 Medals

Swimmers from Nagpur district bagged a large number of medals in the state-level adult swimming competition. This was organized by Maharashtra State Veterans Aquatic Association, Nagpur District, and Hanuman Sports Academy. The competition was held at NIT Lake in Ambazari. Five hundred swimmers from the state participated in this competition. Contestants in the age group of 25 to 80 participated. The competition was held in four categories. Nagpur athletes won 226 medals in this two-day competition.

It includes 84 gold, 74 silver, and 68 bronze medals. Thane was second with 116 medals and Nanded was third with 72 medals. K Rajkumaran, Sunil Shah, Sanjay Lokhande along with Founder President of the organization Arvind Shirbhate, Satish Dawande, Arun Sawant, Shekhar Bhavsar, Amit Savji, Convener Sanjay Batve, etc. were present in this competition as chief guests. President of Hanuman Sports Prashant Ugemuge awarded the winners with certificates and medals.

Vilas Phale and Ashish Dakhore were the stars in the competition

Vilas Phale, Ashish Dakhore, Anjali Shah, Ashwin Mokashi, Vilas Phale, Roma Sarnaik, Aditya Kalele, and Akshaya Janjal from Nagpur performed brilliantly in this competition. On this occasion, President Amit Savaji, All Minister Pankaj Chawla, and Convener Sanjay Batve were felicitated by the state association for the excellent organization of the competition.

Also, all the executive members were presented with badges of honour. Bharat Bhai, Mukesh Aggarwal, PK Jain, Vishal Aggarwal, Damodardas Sarada, Sunish Shah, Sunil Aggarwal, Sikandar Pal Singh, etc. were present at the concluding program as chief guests. Pawan Mehadia moderated and a vote of thanks was given by Geetesh Umalkar.
