Mumbai TSTTA Dominates Maharashtra State Table Tennis Championship with Six Titles

The TSTTA team from Mumbai showcased a table tennis masterclass in the 54th Inter District and 85th Maharashtra State Table Tennis Championship, securing victories in six categories. Reagan Albuquerque and Jennifer Varghese delivered sensational performances, claiming the men’s and women’s titles, respectively.

The men’s final witnessed eleventh seed Reagan Albuquerque facing a formidable challenge from fourth seed Siddesh Pandey (Thane). Despite a shock defeat in the first game, Reagan rallied back to secure an 11-4, 9-11, 5-11, 6-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-8 victory. In the women’s final, eleventh-ranked Jennifer outplayed tenth seed Saili Wani from Nashik, clinching the title with an 11-6, 4-11, 7-11, 8-11, 11-7, 11-4, 11-8 victory.

In other categories, Jash Modi (TSTTA Mumbai) emerged victorious in the boys’ under-19 category, while Divyanshi Bhowmik secured the under-seventeen girls title. The under-15 category saw Ishika Umate of Nagpur triumphing, and Tanish Pendse (Thane) claiming the boys’ under-15 title. In the under-13 category, Nilay Patekar and Sanvi Puranik from Thane emerged as champions, while TSTTA Mumbai’s Aktarish Yadav and Palak Zhanwar won the boys’ and girls’ under-11 titles.

Mumbai TSTTA’s remarkable dominance in multiple categories underscores the depth of talent and commitment in their table tennis program.
