Students shine in various categories, securing gold and silver medals in the prestigious equestrian event at Sarangkheda.
In an outstanding display of equestrian skills, students from Mukesh Patel School, Shirpur, affiliated with Sri Vileparle Kelvani Mandal Mumbai, clinched remarkable victories in the ongoing ‘Chetak Festival’ horse riding competition at Sarangkheda.
Competing in the under-twelve, under-fourteen, and under-sixteen categories, the students showcased their prowess in different horse riding disciplines. Karthik Patil excelled in the under-twelve category, securing silver medals in both ‘Hack and Ride’ and ‘Pole Bending.’
Tanishq Salunke stood out in the under-fourteen category, claiming the gold medal in the ‘Ball and Bucket’ event. In the same category, Anshuman Mandaloi earned a silver medal, while Anshuman Mandaloi and Vedant Pirthani secured bronze and silver medals, respectively, in ‘Dressage’ and ‘Hack and Ride’ categories. Vedant Pirthani also won silver in ‘Pole Bending,’ where Tanishk Salunke secured bronze.
Moving on to the under-sixteen category, Manas Chaudhary and Anshuman Mandaloi claimed silver and bronze in ‘Dressage.’ Dheeraj Chaudhary clinched the gold in ‘Hack and Ride,’ while Manas Chaudhary secured bronze in show-jumping. Raj Patil secured gold in the ‘Top Score’ category, with Dheeraj Chaudhary taking the silver.
SVKM President MLA Amrishbhai Patel, Co-President Bhupeshbhai Patel, Mayor of Shirpur Jayashreeben Patel, Management Committee Member Rajgopal Bhandari, and SVKM School Director Girija Mohan praised the students for their remarkable achievements.
While equestrian events showcase unique talents, some argue they receive disproportionate attention compared to other sports with broader participation.
