Mrigank Patil wins the chess tournament; Kabir Dalvi finishes as runner-up

Mrigank Patil of Amalner won the title. Kabir Dalvi of Jalgaon became the runner-up in the under-seven age group chess selection trial tournament. It was conducted by the Jalgaon District Chess Association and Jain Sports Academy. The first two winners of this tournament were selected in the Jalgaon district team for the state chess tournament to be held at Vasai (District Palghar).

The tournament was conducted in a total of five rounds in this Swiss league style. State-level chess tournament will be held at Vasai on 3rd and 4th August. Mrigan Patil (5 points), Kabir Srikant Dalvi (4 points), Hardik Rawlani (3 points), Viraj Gala (2 points) and Shubhuya Shirude (3 points) were among the first five players in this tournament.

The competition was held at the Kantai Auditorium. Praveen Thackeray, Natthu Somvanshi, Akash Dhangar, and Somdutt Tiwari worked as referees in this competition. Prizes were given to the winning players by Amar Singh Borse and Natthu Somvanshi. President of Jalgaon District Chess Association Atul Jain, Secretary Nandlal Gadia. Along with office bearers of the District Association have congratulated the winning players.
