Models Deserve The Spotlight Of A Showstopper, Not An Actor

Shraddha Kapoor recently walked the ramp for a couture brand at an event that took place in Delhi.  The actress opted for a white lehenga, featuring intricate beadwork and embroidery from the brand Mishru. Shraddha Kapoor looked stunning as ever in that lehenga no doubt, but what went wrong was her ramp walk.

Shraddha Kapoor’s ramp walk looked a little off as she appeared to be uncomfortable while walking the ramp. As soon as the video of her ramp walk circulated over the internet, the actress was trolled heavily by netizens for her ramp walk. The Stree of everyone’s heart failed to impress her fans this time, sadly being trolled for her awkward walk. The internet was filled with hate comments from people, someone said, “Literally the worst ramp walk I have ever seen, glad she doesn’t represent us anywhere globally,”. Another person commented that “ Neither Shraddha can act nor can slay ramp walk”. Despite all the negative responses, Shraddha fans came to the front to defend her saying, “She had aced the ramp but the problem is in lehenga it’s heavy from down and she had not practiced for it. Another user wrote, I think her lehenga is heavy that’s why she was unable to walk properly… anyways she is looking beautiful.”

It won’t be the first time an actress was trolled for her ramp walk, actresses like Alia Bhatt, and Parineeti Chopra were once a part of a troll show too. Now, I want to think if we would be having this problem if designers chose professional models for their brand’s ramp walk rather than some high-profile celebrities with more fan following. No, right? For the shows, we see an actress or actor as the showstopper of the fashion night, snatching opportunities from models who deserve the main character moment. We don’t see models doing high-profile movies, so why it’s always an actor to walk the ramp last?

Comment down your opinions if this is fair to models.
