The MJ College team won the double crown in the under-19 boys and girls football tournament under the Inter School Municipality. The Ikra Shaheen and Bendale teams won the runner-up position. The competition was concluded at the Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sports Complex in Jalgaon city.
In the final match of the girl’s group. The MJ college team defeated the GD Bendale college team by 6-0 and won the title. In a very tight match in the boys’ group, MJ College defeated Ekra College 3-2 to win the title. The MJ College team achieved the double crown.
The Chhatrapati Shivaji team won the third position in this competition. Among the girls, Bhagyashree Dusane of MJ College was named the player of the tournament. Kaivalya Khairnar of the same college became the best player in the boy’s category. Gayatri Sapkale and Anas Shaikh of Bendale College were felicitated with motivational trophies.
Sports House Jalgaon awarded the medals
Gold and silver medals were awarded to the players of the winning and runner-up teams by Sports House Jalgaon. Maharashtra Congress Party Vice President Pratibha Shinde, Traders Federation Vice President Yusuf Makra, Lok Sangharsh Morcha Sachin Dhande.
Football Association Secretary Farooq Shaikh, Working President Prof Anita Kolhe, Joint Secretary Abdul Mohsin, Director Aamir Shaikh, and Manoj Surwade gave the award. Ranjit Patil, a sports teacher at MJ College, Chhaya Chirmade, a sports teacher at Bendale College, and Mustakeen Sheikh of Ikra were present on this occasion.
