Mishal Javia, Ajit Sail, Narendra Singh Choudhary won the title in singles in the 3rd World Ranking Lawn Tennis Tournament of All India Lawn Tennis Association and Maharashtra State ITF S400 Seniors sponsored by Elysium Club on behalf of Solapur District Lawn Tennis Association.
Top seed Mishal Javia defeated Kartikeya Singh Verma in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 in the men’s 35-year-old singles final in the tournament held at the MSLTA Tennis Centre, District Sports Complex and Elysium Club grounds.
Ajit Sail clinches title in ITF
In the final round of the over-40 category, second seed Narendra Singh Chaudhary defeated third seed Sandeep Pawar 6-3, 6-4 to clinch the title. For the over-50 age group, Ajit Sail of Pune defeated Deepak Bagora 6-3, 6-3 in the final match to clinch the title.
In the over-45 group, fourth seed Mohit Phogat defeated Bosekiran Nallamothu 6-3, 6-3 in the semi-finals, while unseeded Rohan Bhasin defeated second seed Avinash Kunwar 6-3, 6-1 to reach the final. Rajeev Desai and Clifton D’Souza defeated Manoj Kumar Kemu and SN Vashishth 7-5, 6-0 in the quarter-finals of the over-60 doubles to reach the quarter-finals.
