A triumphant performance by 11 athletes from MGM Sanskar Vidyalaya, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, in the 20th National Jump Rope Competition, has not only earned them state honors but also secured their selection for an upcoming international competition in Japan. The athletes clinched an impressive tally of 9 gold and 1 bronze medals, propelling the Maharashtra team to its first-ever jump rope title.
Initiated by dedicated teacher Vivek Patil, the jump rope program at MGM Sanskar Vidyalaya has seen eight to ten years of hard work culminate in this remarkable achievement. The athletes from Nashik, Nandurbar, Palghar, Buldana, Beed, Jalna, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar districts showcased exceptional skills under the guidance of Prof. Vivek Patil and team manager Prof. Sharad Pawar.
The outstanding performance included gold medals in various categories, such as 30-second speed relay and individual events. Athletes Bhargavi Prashant Londhe, Riddhi Kishore Nimbalkar, Khushi Ganesh Kurhade, Sparsh Ranjit More, Shubham Fakirchand Padle, Abhijeet Rahul Palve, Aditya Ramjit Prajapati, Devendra Ganesh Kharmate, and Partha Yogesh Harankal demonstrated their agility and precision in the championship.
Despite being challenged by participants from states like Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Telangana, the athletes from MGM Sanskar Vidyalaya showcased their prowess, establishing their dominance on the national stage.
The remarkable achievement has garnered praise from MGM Institute Secretary Ankushrao Kadam, MGM School Director Dr. Aparna Kakkad, and other key figures. The athletes have now set their sights on the international competition in Japan, fueled by the encouragement and support of their school and community.
