Indian shooters Maheshwari Chauhan and Anantjeet Singh Naruka lost by one point to China’s Yiting Jiang and Liu Jia Nalin in the bronze medal match at the Paris Olympics Skeet Mixed Team event. In the final match of 48 goals, the Indian pair lost 44-43. Maheshwari Chauhan missed three out of 244 while Naruka missed two targets. China’s Yiting missed four targets but her male counterpart, Jianlin, made it through by hitting all his targets.
The Indian pair were joint second with 49 points after the first stage of qualification. In the first round, Naruka scored 25 out of 25 while Maheshwari scored 24. Maheshwari scored 25 points in the second round but Naruka could manage only 23 points after missing the second and fifth series. Maheshwari scored 25 points while Naruka scored 24 points in the third round.
