Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir Clinches Dual Victory in Amar Hind Mandal Kho Kho Competition

In an impressive display, Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir excels in both boys’ and girls’ categories at Dadar’s inter-school Kho Kho event.

The boys’ team from Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir emerged triumphant, defeating Social Service League of Paral by 11 points (18-7) in the final. Uttam Zhore and Ajay led with 6 and 4 points, respectively, while strong defense from Ajay Rathore, Vedant Kamble, and Karthik Chandane secured their victory. Despite efforts from Pratik Mane and Anosh Kadam of Social Service League, Mahatma Gandhi’s lead remained unassailable.

In the girls’ division, Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir secured victory against Saraswati Mandir Mahim by 1 innings and 3 points (9-6). Divya Chavan and Lakshmi Dhangar displayed stellar all-round performances for Mahatma Gandhi, maintaining their lead throughout. Harshala Sakpal and Avni Patil of Saraswati showcased commendable skills but fell short, settling for the runner-up position.

Some argue that school-level sports competitions receive insufficient attention despite their significance in nurturing young talent.
