Ahead of the upcoming IPL season, West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran has been selected as the vice-captain by Lucknow SuperGiants. LSG made this announcement on their social media handles. Lucknow Super Giants shared a post in which Nicholas Pooran is seen with KL Rahul.
Nicholas Pooran has been with Lucknow Super Giants since 2023. Earlier, Pooran was with Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians. Pooran was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 16 crore. He was retained for the 2024 season. In 2022, Puran was bought by Hyderabad for Rs 10.75 crore.
Pooran is an experienced player. He has played 62 matches in the IPL so far. 1270 runs have been scored during this period. Puran has also scored 6 fifties in this tournament. His best score is 77 runs. He has also tried his hand at bowling. Pooran has also taken 6 wickets in the IPL. A look at his international career has also been impressive. Pooran has scored 1848 runs in 80 T20 matches. He has scored 11 half-centuries during this period. He has scored 1983 runs in 61 ODIs.
Lucknow SuperGiants first match in IPL is against Rajasthan Royals. This match will be played on March 24 in Jaipur.
